On September 27th, the membership of LCF voting overwhelmingly to step forward with a proposal to expand our current building by 1,500 sq’. To see more of the plan use the links to the left of this page. The membership also spoke with clarity that this is not a financial burden that should be left to deal with by our next generation. Go & Consult
Talk honestly with yourself about where you are at financially. What could you afford to give. What would be a gift that you would actually feel hurt a little? What would happen if you cut back on Christmas gifts? What would happen if you skipped a few meals out? Consult with yourself.
Talk honestly with God. Get a feel for what he thinks about your finances, about your ability to give, about your money spending habits. Listen for him to drop an amount into your heart. Consult with God.
Talk honestly and openly with your family. If married, you can’t make significant financial decisions without unity. This gift should be a gift from the two of you. If not married, talk to your parents. To some mature friends. Get a feel for what they think. Sometimes their thinking can challenge your thinking to a higher level.
Stop & Decide
At some point the consulting has to end and a decision made. There are two gifts we’d like you to consider. You may work with one or the other or a combination of the two.
-
1)a one time gift brought to the Church on November 15th in the service.
-
2)a pledge for a gift to be brought in at some point before April 30th 2010. You might have some money coming to you in the near future and plan to give that or you might want to give a monthly amount for the next six months.
Come & Bring
Sunday, November 15th in our 10am service we invite you to come and bring your gift and place it in the offering. We will do a special offering collection for the gifts.
Use the special offering provided to detail the amount of your gift. If you lose your envelope more can be obtained at the Church.
If using the debit machine, please place your debit slip into the special offering envelope and bring it to the special collection (do not use the box in the kitchen).
As you place your offering into the collection be sure to say a personal thanks to God for the privilege of sharing in his work. God loves a “cheerful giver”
Stay & Celebrate
Good things are worth celebrating. Plan to stay after the service on the 15th as we take some time to share in some goodies and fellowship together.
